Street Food Warehouse is a diverse and unique street food brand, and events company, based in Cardiff. Running an annual UK tour of mouth watering street food festival events, our team make it their mission to deliver unforgettable food and experiences for everyone, this might look a little different this year but we are full to the brim of exciting events happening across the UK.
Our existing UK wide events focus around 15 - 30 different street food traders, a bar area, seating and a live/DJ music offering. Our events have received reviews from the likes of the Metro, BBC Radio 2, Tripadvisor, WalesOnline and many more.
Our calendar is also filled with events supplying street food catering concessions to third party events, including weddings, drive in cinema and outdoor cinema events to name a few.
We are looking for a full time Event Coordinator on a 6 month fixed term contract. We are offering a salary of £21,500 pro rata. The role is an office based role in Cardiff, however regular UK wide travel for site visits and meetings is required. During the event season, you will be expected to attend each event from load in to site clearance which will require being away for 3-4 nights at a time in some cases, accommodation will be provided.
The role is fun and diverse - and involves identifying new territories/site locations; meeting local authorities, private land owners and corporate clients; assisting and producing health & safety documentation including COVID compliance; organising suppliers and managing and executing medium - large scale events successfully. You’ll also be responsible for vetting health & safety documentation for street food traders and you will need to have an interest in trying new foods, and building relationships with vendors.
The Street Food Warehouse portfolio has grown to be a major player within the UK street food festival world, whilst also providing event services to some major UK corporate brands.
You will have the chance to consolidate your skill set and collaborate with an adaptable team who are committed to delivering excellence each and every time.
We work with a diverse client base and cater for every kind of requirement, from the intimate and understated to the luxurious and grandiose, so no two days in your contract will be the same.
The ideal candidate will be able to manage a small team and execute our existing events, whilst using your skills for day to day coordination of our events calendar. The successful candidate should be able to make innovative contributions to the events - we’re always looking at ways to grow and improve our offering. We’d like to find someone with a confident and outgoing nature who has excellent verbal and written communication skills.
To join us as an Events Coordinator, you will need;
Previous events experience 1 - 2 years experience in a coordinator or event management decision making role within the events industry.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
A highly organised approach and the ability to work well under pressure
Experience in producing & vetting health & safety documentation
A full, clean driver's license
Make sure that information and details regarding events are communicated to events staff and suppliers
Notify management of any issues
Complete management and financial reports & work within budgets
Strong passion for the industry and for guest satisfaction
Ability to lead and inspire a team
Possess excellent organisational skills, be flexible and adaptable in your approach to work and you should be reliable and punctual
Confidence and Willingness to drive Large Goods Vehicles
Tow license preferable
