FESTIVAL/ LARGE SCALE EVENT BAR MANAGER
Salary: £25,000 pro rata 6 month Fixed Term Contract.
Location: Cardiff, Wales - Role involves UK wide travel
Role: Full time (37.5hrs pcw) including evenings and weekends, plus bonuses.
Street Food Warehouse is a diverse and unique street food brand, and events company, based in Cardiff. Running an annual UK tour of mouth watering street food festival events, our team make it their mission to deliver unforgettable food and experiences for everyone, this might look a little different this year but we are full to the brim of exciting events happening across the UK.
Our existing UK wide events focus around 10 - 30 different street food traders, a bar area, seating and a live/DJ music offering. Our events have received reviews from the likes of the Metro, BBC Radio 2, Tripadvisor, WalesOnline and many more.
Our Calendar is also filled with events supplying street food catering concessions to third party events, including weddings, drive in cinema and outdoor cinema events to name a few.

We are an established award-winning large scale event bar and catering brand due to rapid growth since the announcement of lockdown restrictions easing for 2021, we are looking for a fresh new addition to our team!
We are looking for a full time Festival/Large Scale Event Bar Manager on a 6 month fixed term contract. We are offering a salary of £25,000 pro rata plus bonuses. The role when in the office is based in Cardiff, however regular/weekly UK wide travel for events, site visits and meetings is required. During the event season, you will be expected to attend each event from load in to site clearance which will require being away for 3-4 nights at a time in some cases, accommodation will be provided.
The role is fun and diverse - and involves identifying new territories/site locations; meeting local authorities, private land owners and corporate clients; Assisting and implementing health & safety management including COVID compliance; organising suppliers and managing and executing medium - large scale events successfully. You’ll also be responsible for overseeing health & safety documentation for street food traders and you will need to have an interest in trying new foods & drinks and building relationships with vendors, clients and of course the public!
Our bar manager must ensure the bar operates smoothly, with sufficient stock and staff at all times. The ideal candidate in this position must thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, maintaining a courteous demeanour with customers, as well as effectively make use of quiet times. Strong leadership and personnel management skills should be accompanied by a customer service focus and commitment to company values and image. The bar manager pays close attention to all operational details to ensure the comfort, safety and enjoyment of guests and job satisfaction of staff, as well as the financial success of the event.
Our Festival/Large Scale Bar Manager would be expected to prepare weekly schedules for bartenders, barbackup and server staff to adequately cover all shifts. Provide for coverage in case of employee absence and adjust staffing as necessary to meet business demands.
Monitor inventory of beverages to ensure adequate stock is maintained and to prevent excess pours or abuse by staff & manage requisition purchases as needed.
Oversee cleanliness of staff and physical bar area, paying special attention to possible health hazards and violations.
Review sales and beverage costs, and reconcile any discrepancies in accounting, ensure proper cash management.
Resolve customer complaints promptly and according to company guidelines.
Oversee the preparation of beverages and ensure quality of product served.

We’d like to find someone with a confident and outgoing nature who has excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Previous experience in a similar role within a fast-paced restaurant/event bar environment
Developing and training the team to a high standard to maximise both service and bottom-line profits

Ability to lead and inspire a team
Make sure that information and details regarding events are communicated to events/ bar staff and suppliers
Possess excellent organisational skills, be flexible and adaptable in your approach to work and you should be reliable and punctual
A highly organised approach and the ability to work well under pressure
MUST have a full clean UK drivers license and willing to drive LGVs
Tow license preferable
